This week, The Motor is proud to be in La Rochelle for Sunny Side of the Doc, one of the world’s leading markets for documentary filmmaking. We’re here to pitch our next feature documentary Life Through a Lens. A visually striking and thought-provoking exploration of one of the most iconic and controversial photographic projects of the 20th century.

The film delves into the legacy of Swedish photographer Lennart Nilsson, whose groundbreaking images of the fetus inside the womb shaped global perceptions of life before birth. Published in Life Magazine in 1965, his photographs became both celebrated scientific milestones and powerful visual symbols - used in everything from biology classrooms to political debates on reproductive rights.
